I hope that you’re enjoying some lazy summer days, even if they are simply sprinkled in here and there between the SUPER busy days. I have intentionally taken some days off recently to allow my brain to quiet a bit. It’s a busy place, my brain! A favorite pastime is to walk to a local park where I can often see people fishing. Though I have never been a skilled fisherwoman, I have scattered, very fond memories of catching fish. There was the lake near my childhood home in Connecticut where we would roll up little balls of cheese for bait and catch sunfish. There were days at the beach when my brother and I would lay a towel in the shallow water and cover it with sand. When a school of minnows swam by, with Brian at one end of the towel and me at the other we would yank the towel out of the water and marvel at our catch. And then there were the times when I’d take my own kids to a pond near their grandma’s house in Massachusetts. We would coat our shins and feet in a fine layer of peanut butter and giggle at the tickle of schools of fish nibbling the peanut butter off of our legs. We did not catch them, and on reflection it was probably not my finest moment of mothering, but we sure had fun!
Is there someone in your life with tucked away memories of fishing? Pour yourselves some lemonade. Escape from the heat, and watch one of the Zinnia videos about fishing. Who knows what stories you might hear? And what stories you might find swimming around in that busy brain of yours!

My mother-in-law loves ZinniaTV. It’s helped her have a better day. The caregivers have also enjoyed using it.
Thank you.
