Do you need to relax?

People waiting at the airport

I know how hard it can be to truly relax when you’re caring for someone with dementia. Even when you have a moment to yourself, your mind stays busy—planning, worrying, anticipating the next challenge. It’s exhausting, and it’s completely understandable.

Here’s a gentle reminder: you deserve care too. Taking even a few moments to pause, breathe, and let go—just for a little while—can make a difference. Breath, meditate, and maybe even sing!

This week, I encourage you to let Zinnia step in, with videos meant to relax you, and the person you support. We are so fortunate to be able to feature music from Alexis Baker of Bridgetown Music Therapy in our Sing Alongs channel. Make a cup of tea. Sit down. Kick off your shoes. Rub your poor old feet. And sing a song that helps you to breathe in, and out.

If you love Alexis as much as we do, and you need more of her than we have for you on Zinnia, she has her own, extremely affordable service where you can choose from hundreds of sing alongs. Check her out!
